On The Dr. B Show: How AI Is Transforming Healthcare
I joined Dr. Jairo Borja on The Dr. B Show for a wide-ranging conversation about where healthcare is actually heading — and what it takes to build something durable in it.
We covered a lot of ground, but the thread running through all of it was the same one that governs how I work: technology is only worth what it delivers to a patient. Everything else is a means.
What we talked about
AI in healthcare — where it is genuinely working today, and where the promises still outrun the evidence
What health tech founders consistently underestimate about clinical trials
Startup funding in healthcare, and why this sector gets treated differently from software
Patient-centered care as an engineering constraint, not a slogan
Mentoring early-stage founders, and the questions I wish more of them asked sooner
On Ginkgo Health Fund
We also spent time on Ginkgo Health Fund, the 501(c)(3) I founded to support early-stage healthcare and life sciences founders.
The premise is straightforward. Access to knowledge and access to networks are the two things that most determine whether a healthcare venture survives its first three years, and both are distributed unfairly. Ginkgo exists to redistribute them — through education, mentorship, accelerator programming, and connections to people who have done it before.
